Computer Repair Service Agreement

Parties Involved:

Service Provider: CompRepairsCT.Com dba PC Services, llc and its employees

Client (Customer): Any client who willingly provides his/her computer or other device for service

Scope of Services:

  • The Service Provider agrees to provide computer repair and maintenance services to the Client. These services include but are not limited to:

Repair of Computer Hardware:

  • Diagnosis and repair of hardware components such as CPUs, motherboards, RAM, hard drives, power supplies, etc.
  • Replacement of faulty hardware components.

Repair of Computer Software:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues.
  • Operating system repairs, updates, and installations.
  • Virus removal
  • Software configuration and optimization.

Regular Maintenance of the Client’s Computers:

  • Scheduled maintenance tasks, including system cleanup, disk defragmentation, and software updates.
  • Performance optimization.

Authorization and Cancellation Policy:

  • Authorization:
    1. The Client authorizes the Service Provider to perform the agreed-upon services.
    2. Authorization may be verbal or written (email, signed document, etc.).
  • Cancellation:
    1. If a Client, after its repair authorization, wishes to cancel a repair job, which already in progress, the client will be responsible for the labor costs, and the cost of any parts used to the point of cancellation.
    2. If a Client, after its repair authorization, wishes the Service Provided to reverse the repair. The client will be responsible for the repair costs in paragraph a, and additional labor cost involving the reversing of such repair. If any parts were used, a customer would be responsible for 20% restocking fees for such parts. Special order parts are not refundable.
    3. If a repair cannot be reversed, a Client will be responsible for the full cost of the repair.
    4. If a Client wishes to cancel the repair job after its authorization, and at the completion of the job, the Client is responsible of paying the full amount of the repair as invoiced.
    5. If no repair amount was quoted, the Service Provided would prepare and provide a fair detailed estimate for such repair, and the Client would be responsible to pay such estimate in full.

Payment Terms:

  • The Client agrees to pay the Service Provider for the services rendered.
  • Payment terms:
    1. Full payment upon completion of the job
    2. Late fees of 1.5% a month may apply if payment is not received within 15 days of completion.

Unclaimed Devices:

  • If a Client fails to claim their repaired product within thirty (30) days after the job completion date, or after being notified that their product has been repaired, CompRepairsCT, the Service Provider will consider the product abandoned. CompRepairsCT will provide such notice to the Client by mail, at the email address, or to the telephone number furnished when the Client authorized the repairs. CompRepairsCT may transfer ownership, dispose of the product, or sell the product at a private or public sale, in accordance with applicable provisions of law, and without liability to the Client. CompRepairsCT reserves its statutory and any other lawful liens for unpaid charges.

Device Holding Policy:

  • During the first 30 days from the date the job was completed, the Client may ask the Service Provided to Hold the unclaimed device for additional 30 days. If the request is approved, the Service Provided would Hold the device, without its disposal, for up to 30 days after the Unclaimed period was elapsed. Hold request must be submitted in writing, and should include a reason for the time extension request. The Service Provided must approve such request, and relayed such decision to the Client in writing. The Client would than have additional time to release the device, and the Abandoned status would only start after 60 days from the repair completion date.
  • One time Holding fee of $30.00 would be charged on the 31 day after the job completion.
  • During this period, the Client may retrieve the device upon payment of all outstanding fees.

Storage Fees:

  • The Service Provider may charge storage fees for each day the device remains unclaimed.
  • $5.00 daily Storage fee will be charged starting on the 15 day of the job completion, and until the day the device is collected.

Ownership Transfer, Disposal or Sale:

  • If a Client does not request to Hold the device for additional 30 days after it was considered abandoned, or does not claim the device within the specified abandoned period, ownership would be transferred to the Service Provider, and the Service Provider may dispose of or sell it.

Notification Process:

  • The Service Provider will notify the Client of the Service Terms via email, phone, written notice or by referring the Client to this website.

Data Handling and Privacy:

  • The Service Provider will handle customer data with utmost confidentiality.
  • The Client acknowledges the risk of data loss during repair and agrees to back up essential data.
  • The Service Provider no longer assume any responsibility for the Client data once the device was abandoned.

Compliance with Local Laws:

  • Both parties agree to comply with local laws and regulations related to computer repair services.

Legal Disclaimer:

  • The Service Provider is not responsible for any data loss, damage, or theft during the repair process.
  • The Client assumes all risks associated with repair services.

Documentation:

Detailed records of repair authorizations, cancellations, and completed jobs will be maintained.

We reserve the right to change or modify the terms of service, or any policy or guideline contained in this website, at any time and in our sole discretion. Any changes or modification will be effective immediately upon posting of the revisions, and you waive any right you may have to receive specific notice of such changes or modifications. Your continued use of our website following the posting of changes or modifications will confirm your acceptance of such changes or modifications.
